What is the Friends of Savannas Preserve State Park?

Thank you for your interest in wanting to learn more about the Friends of Savannas Preserve State Park, Inc. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to support the preservation, maintenance, and interpretation of Savannas Preserve State Park. Many of the events and educational programs that occur at the park are supported by this organization, whether it be through providing the funds or manpower necessary to make the organization successful.

Activities
​Throughout the year the Friends group raises funds by sponsoring fun and educational activities such as Pioneer Day and the Family Fall Festival. We lead guided interpretive kayak tours of the basin marsh, and have partnered with the Florida Master Naturalists, St. Lucie Chapter, to sponsor a photography contest, and Friends in Pink for a 5K run.
